Convert HEIC to JPEG Online

HEIC is the default photo format on iPhones and iPads, offering excellent compression and quality, but it is not supported by Windows, most Android devices, or many web applications. When you need to share iPhone photos, upload them to a website, or edit them in non-Apple software, converting HEIC to JPEG ensures the files will open everywhere. This tool converts HEIC images to JPEG directly in your browser, producing universally compatible photos ready for sharing, printing, or further editing.

Browser note: HEIC/HEIF decoding is supported natively in Safari on macOS and iOS. Chrome and Firefox will show an error. Open this page in Safari if you are on a Mac or iPhone.

FAQ

What is HEIC format?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the default photo format used by Apple devices running iOS 11 and later. It uses the HEVC codec to achieve about 50% smaller files than JPEG at the same quality.
Why can't Windows open HEIC files?
Windows does not include HEIC support by default. You can install a Microsoft extension from the Store, or simply convert HEIC to JPEG for universal compatibility.
Is quality lost when converting HEIC to JPEG?
At high quality settings the loss is minimal and not visible to most viewers. JPEG at 90% quality looks virtually identical to the HEIC source for typical photos.
